About this experience
Old Delhi, founded by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, is a maze of bazaars specialising in spices, silver, wedding cards and sweets. Start with a cycle-rickshaw ride along Chandni Chowk, then explore on foot with your food guide, including the Khari Baoli spice market — Asia's largest.
Along the way, taste around eight specialities from long-established stalls: stuffed parathas, chaat, jalebi, kebabs and creamy lassi, all chosen with European stomachs in mind. Visit the Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque (closed during prayer times), before a final cup of chai.
Groups are kept small and the pace relaxed, with time for photos and questions. A private version is available on request — just mention it in your enquiry, together with any dietary needs or mobility requirements.
