About this experience
From 1802 to 1945 Hue was the seat of the Nguyen emperors, and much of their world still stands. With an expert guide you walk through the Imperial Citadel, the Throne Palace and the gardens of the Forbidden Purple City, learning how court life worked behind its walls.
After lunch with Hue's refined royal specialities, a dragon boat carries you along the Perfume River to the seven-storey Thien Mu Pagoda. The day ends at the romantic tomb of Emperor Tu Duc and the extravagant, mosaic-covered tomb of Khai Dinh.
Groups are kept small and the pace relaxed, with time for photos and questions. A private version is available on request — just mention it in your enquiry, together with any dietary needs or mobility requirements.
